Originally $125.00

N. C. Wyeth created the image of Bill Bones (All day he hung round the cove, or upon the cliffs, with a brass telescope) in 1911, an illustration for an edition of Treasure Island published by Charles Scribner's Sons. The reproduction was printed in 1971 to celebrate the opening exhibition of the Brandywine River Museum, the Brandywine Heritage: Howard Pyle, N. C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, James Wyeth. The painting was loaned to the inaugural exhibition and it entered the collection in 1992 as a bequest of Mrs. Gertrude Haskell Britton.
